Transferring files between smart phones and PC could be extremely time consuming when dealing with a large amount of files, e.g. over 30,000, on the phone. One relatively easy solution is to install a simple FTP server on the phone, use your favourite FTP software such as FileZilla to connect and transfer/process the files as needed. The speed compared to using other traditional “copy” methods is day and night, not to mention that you have more control when resuming after connection issues. Since these are simple FTP servers with limited security features, remember to stop the server or uninstall the app all together after usage.
